Someone is peeking through the branches,
Eavesdropping on the meeting the other animals are having.
Diam-diam dengerin pertemuan para hewan lainnya.
Can you tell who it is?
Bisa tebak siapa itu?
"That all sounds delicious," said Gopher.
“Itu semua kedengarannya lezat,” kata Gopher.
"Now the question is, who will bring the turkey?"
“Sekarang pertanyaannya, siapa yang akan bawa kalkun?”
Do you see how most of the other animals are looking away?
Kalian lihat bagaimana hampir semua hewan berpaling?
They're trying to avoid eye contact

because no one wants to volunteer.

I know it's not the most pleasant job,
Aku tahu ini bukan tugas yang menyenangkan,
but it's important. It's a tradition. It's Thanksgiving."

"I'd like to try," squeaked Mouse.
“Aku ingin coba,” cicit Mouse.
"Um, well, maybe we should draw tails?" asked Gopher.
“Umm, yah, mungkin kita perlu undian ekor?” tanya Gopher.
"Yeah, or maybe someone bigger
“Ya, atau mungkin yang lebih besar
—or not as small—could do it," suggested Mr. Raccoon.
"Mouse, maybe you could help with the stuffing or setting the table?"
“Mouse, mungkin kamu bisa bantu buat isian atau menata meja?”
"Would somebody else like to step up to bring the turkey?" asked Gopher.
“Ada yang lain mau berinisiatif bawa kalkun?” tanya Gopher.
"Really, I would like to try this year," pleaded Mouse.
“Beneran, aku mau coba tahun ini,” pinta Mouse.
"I think I can do it."
“Aku yakin aku bisa.”
"Well, I guess it's not that big a deal
“Yah, kurasa tidak masalah
if we don't have turkey at Thanksgiving again," said Gopher.

because she's so small.

What do you think?

"I'll prove that I'm not too small,
“Aku akan buktikan kalau aku tidak terlalu kecil,
and it's not too hard for me," said Mouse.

and I promised to bring the turkey.
dan aku sudah janji bawa kalkun.
I looked everywhere all night long, .
Aku sudah mencari ke mana-mana sepanjang malam,
but I failed," sniffed Mouse
tapi aku gagal,” isak Mouse.
"Maybe everyone is right.
“Mungkin semua orang benar.
Maybe I am too small.
Mungkin aku memang terlalu kecil.
And now I'm so tired."
Dan sekarang aku sangat lelah.”
"Tired? You want to talk about being tired?
“Lelah? Kamu bicara soal lelah?
Try hiding for weeks and weeks!
Coba sembunyi berminggu-minggu!
I haven't slept since July!"
Aku bahkan belum tidur sejak Juli!”
"Do you know how terrifying it is
“Tahu nggak betapa menakutkannya
to be a turkey around Thanksgiving?"

"Then this year, they sent a teeny-tiny mouse!
“Dan tahun ini, mereka mengirim seekor tikus kecil!
How insulting!"
Menghina banget!”
"You know, I'm tired of hiding.
“Tahu nggak, aku capek sembunyi.
I'm not afraid of you. Let's fight, little mouse!"
Aku tidak takut padamu. Ayo bertarung, tikus kecil!”
"I will not be your turkey this Thanksgiving!"
“Aku tidak akan jadi kalkunmu tahun ini!”
"Fight?" asked Mouse.

“Aku tidak ingin bertarung.
I just want to give you this."

“Hore! Hore! Hore!”
"Mouse is the first one to actually bring turkey to Thanksgiving!"
“Mouse adalah yang pertama benar-benar membawa kalkun ke Thanksgiving!”
